Condolence: I didn't know Jack's family but he was a great guy! He was smart as a whip and funny as could be, he spoke very highly of his Grandchildren and was a blast to be around. "Happy Landings Jack"....

Condolence: Such a loss to family and friends... and Jackie had both in great numbers. I especially appreciate how Jackie always had a good word and excellent aviation tips for his fellow flyers. He will be missed in the air and on the ground now that he has his own wings! Rest in Peace, Jackie.

Condolence: I’m writing to express my deepest sympathies for your family’s loss, and to share some of my memories of Jack. I regret not being able to attend the service today, but while you are celebrating Jack’s life, I am thinking of you all, and writing this from the jumpseat of an airliner on my ride to work. Looking down on this world Jack left behind, I’m thinking about how much he loved this view. Of how deeply we fliers miss our families when we are away. And of how small each of us seems in the world, but how big we are to each other.

To me, Jack was first the sound of the Big Bird Festival, and his energy and enthusiasm was a source of inspiration and motivation. I have no doubt his excitement contributed to my own desire to fly. My favorite memory of Jack was one idle afternoon at the R/C model field. Jack arrived in usual form; smiling from ear to ear and energetically talking his way up and down the flight line. Missing was Jack’s customary blue jeans and button-down plaid shirt replaced by a matching sweatsuit. When I asked why the obvious infraction of the Bugg dress code, Jack replied nonchalantly that he had undergone bypass surgery only yesterday, and was out getting some fresh air!

Tailwinds and smooth skies Jack. We miss you.

Condolence: Mrs. Bugg
My deepest condolences to you and your family. I thought Jack was a great guy, a good friend and truly a nice person to be around. I spent time with Jack on dairy farms, working on nutrition and flying airplanes and talking about model planes. He was a passionate person about everything he was involved with and passed on that enthusiasm to everyone around him. I am honored that I had the opportunity to have known him and spent time with him. Gerald Poppy

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Jacks passing. For many years we worked Aviation Trade Shows together. First with Magellan and later with AvMap. He was a super salesman because he could talk 100 mph and really made a hit with everyone he was attempting to sell a GPS to. I will always miss Jack. I have finally retired (at age 78) but of all the sales people I have worked with at aviation shows, Jack was one of the best.
