Emanuel Scheller, 92, of Windsor passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Columbine Commons in Windsor. He was born the first of five children on May 16, 1926 in Windsor to Phillip and Katherine (Lind) Scheller, Jr.
He graduated from Windsor High School and then went to work for Great Western Sugar Company in the lab before enrolling at Barnes Commercial College in Denver, graduating in two years with an accounting degree. He became a cost accountant clerk at the Morse Machine Company and was then drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado Springs before leaving to Japan for a year and was then honorably discharged.
Emanuel worked as a bookkeeper for a number of companies before retiring and moving back to Windsor to care for his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Alberta Winter of Fort Collins and brother, Gerald Scheller of Eaton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Clarabelle Erbes, his brother, Robert who was killed in an automobile accident in 1956 and his brothers-in-law, Ray Erbes and Richard Winter.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 23 at the Adamson Life Celebration Home with inurnment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor.
