Maxine Lopez, 80, of Greeley, CO passed away October 23, 2019 in Greeley. She was born on May 29, 1939 in Fort Collins, CO to Arthur and Della Mondragon. On January 17, 1959 she married the love of her life, Ricardo Lopez of Greeley who with Hospice/pathways staff lovingly cared for her at their home until her passing.
Her hobbies included reading, softball, volleyball and later in life she was an avid golfer. She was a member and past president of the D.O.E.S. She was a loyal Bronco and Rockies fan.
Thankful to have shared her life are her husband, Ricardo; four children Jeanette (David) Villa, Jennifer Lopez, Jill Lopez, and Ricardo (Kelly) Lopez II of Greeley. Nine grandchildren, Shannon Villa (Leopoldo), Tommie Lopez (Daniel), Kacie Nuanez (David), Seth Lopez Collins (Kendra), Santos (Trey) Lopez Medina, Anthony Lopez Medina, Rachael Lopez Medina, Ricardo Lopez III, Jasmine Lopez (Chris) ;and sixteen great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Jace, Jyzayah, Leo, Marcello, Mathias, Jude, Dannie, Daniel III, Emilio, Roman, Cali, Anthony, Caden, Shia, Archer. Surviving siblings include Rose Perry, Arthur “Vic” (Sherry) Mondragon, Anita (Fred) Paoli and Rebecca (Terrence) O’Donnell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Della; siblings, Rodger, Mary Lou, Josephine, Patricia; sister-in-law Catherine; nieces Marcie, Judith and Susan; and nephews, George and Roger.
A memorial service will be held on November 8, 2019 at St Peters Catholic Church 915 12th Street Greeley Co. Rosary starting at 9:00 with Mass following at 9:30. Reception immediately following at St. Peter’s.
