Chance my brother, I remember it took a long time for us to warm up to each other, but at the end we had a great dynamic, friendship, and professional camaraderie during our time in Afghanistan and there after. I valued you very much, we spoke a few times after you returned home for good, we stayed in touch throughout the years, and that is what I valued most about you. You never forgot your brothers in Arms. I never forgot you and everyone I've worked with overseas. We spoke a lot about our time in Infantry School at Fort Benning GA. Although we went there on different years, we earned and shared the same blue cord that turned our blood from red to blue. This is a great loss to all of us and the way in which all of our brother are morning you is a true testament of who you really were and the impact you had on others during your time on this Earth. Chance, I knew you would have taken a bullet for me or any one of us down range, for that and many reason, I salute you, morn your loss, respect you, and will forever remember you. To all of your friends and family, I am truly sorry for you loss. To you Chance my friend and brother in arms, I will see you when my ticket number is called. ****Till Valhalla****

Remember rooming across from Chance in Afghanistan and he saw I was tying flies and we struck up conversations about fly fishing, solid dude. Later, we reconnected when he was in Cheyenne and planned some outings on the river that never came to fruition due to life’s responsibilities on both our parts, he will be missed but I’m sure I’ll see him on those rivers.

I remember Chance talking about his sister. How proud he was of her. After Chance had the motorcycle accident and when I got away from contracting I called him up and he was so encouraging for our path in life to move on to something else. Genuinely happy for me and my family and we talked about life and just the crazy paths it takes us down. Chance you will be missed bro and I wish we could have spoken more.
