Obituary of Buddie Ray Smalley

Buddie Ray Smalley, 80, of Greeley passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at North Colorado Medical Center.  He was born June 13, 1942 in Pueblo, Colorado to Joseph De Loss and Leona May (La Montine) Smalley in Pueblo, Colorado.  Buddie grew up in Pueblo before enlisting in the United States Navy.  He moved to Greeley over 40 years ago and worked for Praxair as a truck driver for 20 years before retiring.  Buddie loved to fish, had a passion for growing  roses, and  spotting old cars .  He enjoyed his Harley and road with a motorcycle club.  He enjoyed collecting  coins and was an animals lover.

He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Starr of Kansas, Oklahoma; his grandsons, Joseph and Mason; his brother, Jimmie Smalley and wife Carol of Pueblo; his niece Carrie Caster of Highlands Ranch; and close friend and mother of his daughter Pam Padilla.  He was proceeded in death by his parents and his sister Josephine Smalley.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 from noon until 1:00p.m at Adamson Life Celebration Home.  Life Celebration 1:00p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Adamson Life Celebration Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Weld County Humane Society in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47^th Ave., Greeley, CO  80634.
