Obituary of Anna Janean Cox
Anna Janean (Sinele) Cox, 80, passed away on May 10, 2023. Janean was born December 19, 1942, the daughter of Lloyd and Marian (Jones) Sinele of Greeley. She was a lifelong resident of La Salle and Greeley.
Janean leaves behind daughters Shelly Cox and Carrie (Michael) Bedell; grandchildren Cameron Gill-Cox, Sarah Bedell, and Anna Bedell all of Greeley; sister Janice (Sinele) Ball and husband Wendell Ball of Loveland; and many friends.
After graduating from Greeley High School in 1960, she worked for Ellis & Cap Equipment. She then worked with her former husband Jack Cox at Cox Oil Company for many years. She was part of the La Salle Flames Auxiliary and taught Sunday school at the First Christian Church. As an adult, she attended both Aims Community College and the University of Northern Colorado. She was an avid reader prompting a local area bookstore to create a display of books she loved and recommended.
In retirement, she continued her love of gardening and enjoyed creating landscapes wherever she lived which delighted all who visited them. She was on the garden tour several times and opened up her garden to Greeley residents after planting thousands of tulip bulbs.
Her unique style, eye for design, and quick wit will be missed by both family and friends.
