Obituary of Irene P. Ramirez

Irene P. Ramirez, 75, of Greeley, passed away July 2, 2023 at her granddaughter’s home in Greeley.  She was born April 21, 1948 in Mexico to Victorio and Francisca (Rivera) Payen.  She grew up in Mexico before moving to Greeley.  She worked at Monfort for over 10 years.  She was an excellent cook, her family loved her homemade tortillas and empanadas. She also enjoyed dancing and sewing.  What she loved most was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Irene is survived by her children; Rene Ramirez of Mexico, Delma Ramirez and husband Socorro Olivas of Greeley, Guadalupe Ramirez of Texas, Sonia Hernandez and husband Manuel of Greeley and David Ramirez and wife Rosario of Greeley; her siblings, Sabas Payen and wife Luz of Texas, Angie Nevarez and husband Lucio of Greeley, and Arnulfo Payen and wife Herlinda of Texas; her grandchildren, Rene, Veronica, Jennifer, Jasmin, Sara Lee, Melody, Samantha, Crystal, Maria, Ezequiel, Joe, Noe, Laura, Korina and Jose; and 20 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Octovio, Elfida, Baldina and Guadalupe; and a grandson Daniel Aleman.

A visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Adamson Life Celebration Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.  Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
