Jose “Pepe” Manuel Mutuberria

Beloved son, brother, and uncle

Jose Manuel Mutuberria, 47, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2023. 

Jose was born December 18, 1975, in Greeley, Colorado to Juan J. and Maria E. Mutuberria. Jose grew up outside of Greeley on a small acreage with his family, where he enjoyed gardening and tending to their sheep and other animals as he really cared for animals. Jose loved attending sheep sales with his father at the livestock auctions. Jose and his mother enjoyed walks and bike rides together. Jose and his brother Jonathan bonded over their love for fishing and the Denver Broncos. They would attend Bronco training camps at UNC during the summer each year.  Family and friend gatherings were also a favorite of Jose as he really enjoyed being around loved ones. 

Jose attended John Evans Jr. High where he participated in football as a lineman. Jose graduated from Greeley West High School in 1994. He was actively involved in horticulture and FFA all four years of high school. 

After graduating Jose would find full time employment at Country General. He would later find his niche at Budweiser Distributing as a forklift operator and was employed for many years. 

Jose spent his final years with his family, attending his brother’s wedding as best man, making traditional Christmas family tamales and of course enjoying his favorite Holiday meal on Thanksgiving.  Jose also took great pride in becoming an uncle this last year. 

Jose is preceded in death by his grandparents and his Gutierrez and Mutuberria family members. 

Jose is survived by his parents, brother Jonathan (Carrie) Mutuberria, nephew Jeffrey Mutuberria and his Gutierrez and Mutuberria family members.
