Obituary of Michael Albert Myers

Michael A. Myers, 78, of Eaton passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2023 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.  He was born January 18, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to Samuel and June (Perry) Myers.  Michael’s father served in the United States Airforce and the family lived in multiple places throughout the country while he was growing up.  He graduated high school in Shreveport, LA.  He went to work at Combs Gates in 1968 where he began his career in aviation.  In 2005 he retired as the Maintenance Manager.  Michael married Mary Leyendecker on December 23, 2001 in Eaton.  He was a member of the Northern Colorado Model A. Club, built scale model airplanes and he and his wife had an Embroidery Business.

Michael is survived by his wife Mary of Eaton; his daughter Christy Steele (Greg) of Longmont; his stepchildren, Krista DiLeo (Michael) of Pennsylvania and Adam Wells (Jill) of Thornton, CO; his siblings Rex Myers (Carolyn) of Florida, Jane McClaugherty of Denver, and PJ Myers of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Paula, his son Dan, his siblings Bill and Ana, and his step-daughter Colleen.

His family will greet friends Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home.
