Obituary of Cindy Rose Martinez

Cindy "Gomesinda" Rose Martinez (98) of Greeley passed away at her home on August 8th, 2023. Cindy's given name is Gomesinda R. Gaarcia and she was born toLeoncia and Alejandro Garcia in Chapparito, New Mexico on September 19, 1924.

Her family moved to Colorado when she was young. She had seven siblings: Benni, Arthur, Alfred, Mary, Dora, Josie and Ruth. Cindy married Raymond Martinez, they went on to have five children: Raymond(Karen) Martinez, MarianneSalazar, Carol (Eloi) Zamora, Diana(Charles) Naranjo and Judy (Pancho) Rodriguez. She has 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren.

Cindy loved the Rockies and also loved to attend her grandchildrens school and sporting events. She enjoyed going to Black Hawk and playing the penny and nickel slot machinesShe loved working in her yard and on her flowers. She also love spending time with family and having big holiday dinners, where all the family friends are invited.

She had numerous family friends that have all considered her as thier gandma and reffered to her as such. There was'nt anyone that needed help that she ever turned away. She was the most loving person, mom, grandma and great grandma that a person could have asked for.
