Obituary of Marsha Alene White

Marsha White, 74, of Greeley, died on August 2, 2023 at the UCHealth Greeley Hospital Acute Care Unit.

She was born February 15, 1949 in Salinas, CA to Paul William and Virginia (Jean) May (Potts) Bassett. Marsha married Frank Charles (Chuck) White on June 29, 1973 in Greeley. They later divorced. She graduated from Greeley West High School as the first graduating class in 1967. She worked at Lavita’s Hair Salon after graduating beauty school. She then moved to Georgetown where she truly fell in love with the mountains. When she moved back to Greeley she became a dance teacher for The Dance Factory and then went on to own two of her own studios Dance West and Dance Connection. She loved teaching the little kids the best and made a lot of long lasting friendships though her teaching. She continued to use her choreography while helping direct the Jr. plays that were performed with Shawsheen 4th and 5th grades.

Marsha loved traveling, theater, music, movies, spending time with family and friends, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She also loved dogs and horses, especially draft horses, and mules as well as the Scottish-Irish festivals. The highlight for her was the annual trip to see the draft horse show at the National Western Stock Show.

She is survived by her brother Brad "Bubba" (Suzie) Bassett of Greeley. Daughter Jacque “J.J.” (Jason) Kilber of Greeley, and son Justin (Dayna) White of Kersey. Her grandchildren include Dillen (Kelly) Gregg of Akron, Brock, Jaymie and Brody White all of Kersey, Brayden and Gaven Kilber both of Greeley. Her great-grandchild Aliceson Gregg of Akron.

She was preceded in death by parents.
