At a young age, the family moved from Colorado to Waddell, AZ where they lived for six years before moving to Severn, Maryland where they lived for four years.  Tyler graduated from Old Mill Sr. High School in Millersville, MD with an International Bachelorette Diploma which gave him 30 college credits.  In 2008, he returned to Colorado, attending UNC in Greeley where he received his Bachelor of Science, Computer Science emphasis in 2011.  Tyler served his internship with JBS in Greeley and continued his employment with them his entire career, most recently as an IT Analyst.

In his youth, Tyler played football and wrestled in high school.  He was very social in school as well as being very artistic.  He loved pencil and water color, pen drawing, and 3D model building. He also enjoyed being in the outdoors; camping, fishing, hiking.  He was also fond of the Asian culture, was a foodie and loved his home, where he was able to spend his time with his ‘soul dog’ Spot.  Time with family and friends was most important to him.  He was excited about acquiring the first Ford Bronco Sport in Colorado when they were reintroduced.

Survivors include his parents, Todd and Katie Ohlson, his twin sister, Kayla Ohlson, grandparents; Muriel McDonald, Harold and Joan Ohlson, his aunts and uncles; David (Lucie) McDonald and their daughter Juliana, Steven McDonald, Gina (Jerry) Staff and their children; Nicole, Natalie and Joe.  Tyler rescued his dog, Spot, who was a constant companion in his life.
