Obituary of Silas James Parker

Silas James Parker was born on October 29, 1995, and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 12, 2023, at the age of twenty-seven.

He is survived by both parents, two sisters, his brother, his stepbrother, and a village of extended family, friends, and caretakers whose lives were impacted forever by him during his time here.

Silas lived his entire life only for the moment. He never concerned himself with material possessions, past mistakes, or worried about the future. He was inexplicably drawn to any form of water, never stopped wanting to wrestle with his dad, and he loved nothing more than his mother’s food. He required only love, and basic comforts to be perfectly content throughout his entire life. Our family believes that Silas came to this world with the purpose of fundamentally changing how everyone around him viewed the gift of life and health, and he left us when his mission was accomplished.

Our family welcomes anyone who loved Silas, or knew someone impacted by him, to attend his Life Celebration on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greeley Seventh Day Adventist Church where we will share why we were privileged to have Silas in our lives.
