Obituary of Bill Hintergardt

Donnal W. “Bill” Hintergardt, 80, of Carr, CO went to be home with the Lord Monday, August 21, 2023 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.  He was born July 23, 1943 in Liberal, Kansas to Donnal A. and Esther (Spady) Hintergardt.  He lived in Guymon, Oklahoma as a child before moving to Pueblo, CO and then Pierce, CO where he graduated from Pierce High School in 1962.  He married Willa Chadwick on June 18, 1966 in Fort Collins.  Bill worked around cattle his whole life.  He worked at Greeley Producers for 11 years, 2 years at CSU Bull Farm, and 18 years at CSU Teaching Hospital in the large animal barn.  After retiring he continued ranching at his home.  Bill had many talents including, leather work and cake decorating.  He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his Ford Pickups.  Bill hosted church in his home for the past 3 years.

Bill was a hardworking man who was always willing to help others.  He was an amazing and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. 

He is survived by his wife Willa Hintergardt of Carr, CO; his daughter, Dee Boskovich and husband Scott of Carr, CO; his grandchildren, Devin Boskovich of Nunn and Addie Boskovich of Carr; and his siblings Dianna Ellmo and husband Mark of Greeley and Joe Hintergardt and wife Toy of Suisun City, CA.  He was proceeded in death by his parents.

A Life Celebration will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2023 at Adamson Life Celebration Home and interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Preston Ranch in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47^th Ave., Greeley, CO  80634.
