Obituary of Isaias Ortiz

Isaias Ortiz, 90, of Greeley passed away August 19^th, 2023 at Fair acres Manor in Greeley, CO. He was born in Madera, Chihuahua, Mexico on January 2^nd, 1933 to Miguel Ortiz and Narcisa Medrano where he grew up.

He married Ofelia Duran on December 25, 1954 in Mexico. He worked in the fields from a young age and eventually learned the trade of building houses. The family moved to the United States in 2000 and he and his wife Ofelia helped take care of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Isaias loved his family, cooking tamales and carnitas, the LA Dodgers, fireworks, the rodeo, liked to dress well and smell good at all time and sang to his beloved Ofelia on many occasion.

He is a member of New Hope Church in Greeley.

Survivors include Hilda Mena, Ramon Ortiz, Ubaldo Ortiz, Imelda Ortiz, Anna D. Caballero, Rosario Nava, Rafael Ortiz, and Elizabeth Diaz, Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many brothers and sisters.

He was preceded by his wife Ofelia and daughter Carolina Ortiz.
