Obituary of Sandra Sue Koppenhafer

Sandra Sue Koppenhafer passed away at her home in Greeley on August 28, 2023 at the age of 84.

Sue was born in Broadus Montana on March 12, 1939 to Tom and Ellen Daily. She attended the University of Northern Colorado where she received her teaching degree. While attending UNC she met her husband of 63 years, Ed Koppenhafer.

Sue went on to teach elementary language arts for 25 years for the Highland School District.

After retiring from teaching she and her husband traveled throughout Colorado and Wyoming buying and selling antiques. They lived in Pierce until 2016 when they moved to Greeley.

Sue played the piano and organ for Church and other occasions. She loved to play card games with friends and family. Sue also enjoyed a competitive game of Scrabble with her son Clint. Sue and Ed took many trips to Mexico and traveled throughout the United States.

Sue is survived by her husband Ed Koppenhafer, children; Clint Koppenhafer and Sheri Lockman, grandchildren; Casey and Shawn Lockman and brother, Robert Daily (Nancy). She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Ellen Daily, sister, Charlene Petrie and son-in-law Ron Lockman.

Sue's Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 16, 2023 at Adamson with a reception to follow. Memorial gifts may be made to the Pierce Senior Center in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
