Carmen Gutierrez Rodriguez
She was born April 15, 1923, to Ruperto Gutierrez and Maria Del Refugio Beltran in Laredo, Texas.
In 1942 she married Fermin L. Rodriguez. They were migrant workers until the early 1950’s when they started their own farming business. They moved to Colorado in 1968 where they continued their business with their children.
Carmen loved embroidery, crocheting and gardening. She had the most amazing roses and flower beds. She treasured spending time with her family and had a great love for music. Her love for her family was a love like no other, priceless.
She is survived by eleven children, Carmen (Refugio) Guerra, Simon (Eva) Rodriguez, Ruperto Rodriguez, Dolores (Tony) Varela, Joe Rodriguez, Pete (Agapita) Rodriguez, Maria Luisa (Leo) Gutierrez, Pablo Rodriguez, Recardo Rodriguez, Francisco (Kathy) Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez.
Carmen is also survived by granddaughter Kristy (Armando) Rodriguez who she raised, 33 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren along with two sisters, Luisa Ramos, Maria Del Valentina Serna.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fermin and sons Fernando and Jesse.
